Versace Perfume

Versace Perfume

The Versace name may more readily bring to mind the high end fashions that are paraded down the runway in Milan by the world’s top super models, but Versace perfume is one of the most popular on the market today. It should come as no surprise that the successful Italian design house produces fragrances that emulate their fashion creations — glamorous, sophisticated, elegant, contemporary and sexy.

Gianni Versace added the perfume line to his design empire with his signature scent, Gianni Versace Perfume, a classic and complex fragrance for women that blends spices, fruit, carnation, tuberose, gardenia, orris root, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, narcissus, benzoin, leather, sandalwood, amber, patchouli, oak moss, incense and myrrh. A couple years later, he created Blonde Perfume in honor of his sister Donatella, which combines jasmine and violet and is marketed for romantic occasions.

Other Versace perfumes range from the light and airy blends designed for casual or business wear to those created with romance or seduction in mind. Some of the more popular scents for women include:

  • Versace Crystal Noir Perfume – launched in 2004, this extremely well-received fragrance is a sensual blending of gardenia, peony, amber, sandalwood and orange blossom.
  • Versus Perfume – another one of the early creations but still very popular, blends plum, rose, cedar wood, iris, musk and amber.
  • Jeans Couture Perfume – launched in 2002 for daily or office wear, combines orange flower, plum, freesia, iris, black jasmine, musk, heliotrope, sandalwood and vetiver.
  • Versus Versace Perfume – the original Versus, introduced by Gianni Versace was reformulated and updated at the request of Donatella Versace. The new version includes kumquat, star apple, lemon, heart orange blossom, stephanotis, centifolia rose, musk, patchouli and ambrette seed.
  • Versace Bright Crystal Perfume – blending of pomegranate, yuzu, frosted accord, peony, magnolia, lotus, plant amber, musk and mahogany resulting in a light floral scent for daily use.

The Versace perfume for women line includes dozens of other fragrances as well as many for men. While initial consumer purchases may be motivated by the glamour of the Italian label and the competition amongst celebrities to wear Versace creations, repeat business is due to the products themselves.

When Gianni Versace was tragically gunned down in front of his Miami Beach home in 1997, many believed that it was also the end of the fashion empire bearing his name. This has not been the case. After a lengthy period of mourning, the family has carried on his tradition of bold, innovative design combined with excellence in quality. And it is the quality guaranteed by the Versace name that is the real reason for their continued success.
